Delegates to protocol::tunnel::close::explanation for the codes the daemon
originates, and adds the one the platform produces — 1006, which every proxy-side
failure collapses to. That case needs its own wording precisely because it is ambiguous:
naming a single cause would be a guess presented as a diagnosis.
