pub fn require_idle_duration(seconds: u32) -> Result<(), Error>Expand description
Rejects an idlePolicy.maxIdleDurationSeconds under the model’s min: 60.
§The exemption this replaces was inherited from a client that no longer exists
RunMicrovmRequest::max_idle_sec and constants.rs both used to say there was
deliberately no guard here, because min is one of the four keys in botocore’s
VALIDATED_METADATA_ATTRS and botocore therefore refuses it locally with a clear message.
The premise is true and the conclusion does not apply: this client never touches botocore.
ControlPlane signs with aws-sigv4 and sends with reqwest, so validate.py is not on
the path, and issue #24 measured max_idle_sec: 59 reaching the wire.
It is the one place in this module where the reason for having no guard was wrong rather
than the number, which is worth saying because the same reasoning would exempt every min in
the model — Version’s, NonBlankString‘s, the identifiers’, allowedPorts’s. All of them
are now guarded, and none of them by botocore.
No maximum, because the model states none. The bound that actually ends a VM’s life is
maximumDurationInSeconds (require_duration_in_range).
