Expand description

Build a node list (text and entity reference nodes) from an attribute value (upstream tree.c xmlStringLenGetNodeList).

§UPSTREAM-PARITY

xmlNode *xmlStringLenGetNodeList(const xmlDoc *doc,
                                 const xmlChar *value, int len);

Returns the head of a linked list of XML_TEXT_NODE / XML_ENTITY_REF_NODE nodes, or NULL for a NULL/empty value or on allocation failure. A negative len means the value is NUL-terminated. Predefined entity references are expanded into text; other declared entities produce entity reference nodes (whose content is parsed into the entity declaration’s children); undeclared references produce entity reference nodes without content, as upstream.

§SAFETY

  • doc must be a valid xmlDoc* or NULL.
  • value must be a valid NUL-terminated string of at least len bytes or NULL.
