Read-only query layer over the index.
Retrieval contract:
- Resolve the group first (exact key, case-insensitive key, normalized name, substring, then fuzzy). More than one candidate in the winning tier is reported as ambiguous; Leviathan never guesses.
- Rank matching records by BM25 (title weighted), times the configured boosts, then recency on ties. Group scope and filters are posting-list intersections on synthetic tokens, so they cost less as they narrow.
- With no query words, list records newest first.
- If a group has no match, fall back to clearly labeled matches from other groups.
