Modules

compaction

Compaction: summarize older context when the window fills, keeping a recent tail. Also branch summarization support for /tree navigation.

context_files

Project context file discovery: AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md, with AGENTS.override.md taking precedence per directory. Load order: global file, then ancestor directories root->cwd, then cwd.

iterative

Bounded loop and autoresearch jobs in persistent child sessions.

prompts

Prompt templates: Markdown files whose name becomes a /command, with positional-argument expansion.

session

session_runner

AgentSession: the high-level facade every mode drives. Owns the session manager, tool set, queues, retry, auto-compaction, and cost accounting.

settings

Settings: global ~/.kiss/agent/settings.json deep-merged with project .kiss/settings.json (project wins).

skills

Agent Skills (agentskills.io style): Markdown files with YAML frontmatter, discovered from user/project locations, surfaced in the system prompt and through $name or /name input tokens. The older /skill:name form is also accepted.

subagents

Opt-in, in-process subagent sessions and Codex-style control tools.

system_prompt

System prompt assembly: identity + tool list + guidelines, appended custom text, project context blocks, skills XML, and the cwd line.

Project trust: gate loading of project-local resources behind a saved decision in ~/.kiss/agent/trust.json (parent-folder decisions apply).

workflows

Dynamic workflows: many child agents orchestrated by a script the model writes.
