§K1 Web code source selection

SourceSelection is the concrete read boundary joining unpublished Web-code workspaces with immutable public Web packages. It constructs one authority-qualified family, reports whether that family exists in either subsystem, resolves an exact published SemVer or unpublished 12-byte workspace ID, returns the highest published version, and applies the default Open rule: choose the latest workspace only while its exact authored document is not represented by any published version; otherwise choose the highest published SemVer.

ResolvedSource carries the exact versionless CodeDocument and its OpenedSource selector. is_published compares exact authored documents after stripping generated public manifests. draft_check_version deterministically maps an unpublished 12-byte ID into a private three-component check SemVer and preserves an exact published version.

The package performs no authorization, mutation, KTO submission, checking, caching, publication, retry, migration, or background work. Snapshot enumeration and authored-document comparison are linear in a family’s published versions and source bytes; indexed exact public and workspace reads are dependency-owned.
