Expand description
Priority for stretching widgets beyond ideal size
When more space is available than required to meet widgets’ “ideal size”,
that extra space is allocated based on the Stretch
priority: the widget(s)
with the highest priority level represented are allocated extra space (the
excess is evenly divided between these widgets).
Note that Stretch
only affects how much space is made available, not
how that space is used. By default, widgets expand to fill all space made
available to them; any other behaviour requires alignment.
Variants§
None
Prefer no stretching
This is the default value and indicates that stretching is undesirable, but does not prevent it.
Filler
Fill unwanted space
The main use of this is to force layout with a Filler
widget.
Low
Extra space is considered of low utility (but higher than Filler
)
High
Extra space is considered of high utility
Maximize
Greedily consume as much space as possible
