Where a class definition is found. The run unit’s objects and classes, and running them, are
rt::oo; compiling and checking a class is compile::oo.
Structs§
- Frame
- The method an activation runs.
- Instance
- Loaded
Class - Method
Call - A COBOL method’s activation: its code and loaded WORKING-STORAGE, the LINKAGE ordinal and address of each record of the object’s or the factory’s data, its arguments’ addresses, and the frame it runs in.
- Objects
- The run unit’s classes and objects, the references to them, and the JNI environment once a program uses JNIENVPTR.
- Returned
- How a method’s run ended, and when it ended normally, its RETURNING item’s name and value.
- Running
Enums§
- Referent
- What an object reference’s four bytes name.
Constants§
- JAVA_
LANG_ OBJECT - MAX_
MEMORY - Run-unit memory past which creating objects and classes abends.
- MAX_
OBJECTS - Objects a run unit may create before it abends; they are never freed.
- MAX_
REFERENCES - References a run unit may make before it abends; each is kept, so that an expired one can say where it expired.
Traits§
- OoHost
- What INVOKE and the JNI services ask of the executor beyond
Valuesand the run unit: the method the activation runs, names and Java signatures, an argument’s bytes, and running a method.
Functions§
- bodies
- bodies_
mut - The statement lists
bodiesgives, those that are present, to change. - call_
through_ pointer - CALL through a FUNCTION-POINTER or PROCEDURE-POINTER: a JNI service from the function table,
run here when it needs no JVM. Each argument is
ValueorOmitted, OMITTED as NULL. The reference services keep the JNI’s rules for local and global references (seeLOCAL_FRAMES). - class_
code - A class definition’s code, compiled at
at, and the warnings and informational messages it compiled with. - compare_
references - Two object references compare equal when they identify the same object (Language Reference
SC27-8713-03, p. 282), so each is looked up; one compared with the figurative constant NULL
is only tested for NULL. None when neither is an object reference;
namesnames the two. - defined_
class - The external name a class definition defines.
- each_
mut - [
each], to change. - invoke
- INVOKE: Arm(1) when no method matches and ON EXCEPTION is written, Arm(0) after a method ran when a phrase is written, Next when none is, or End after a STOP RUN. A CICS task refuses it (C147).
- item_
type - The Java type an item passes as, as a JNI signature spells it; a universal object reference passes as java.lang.Object.
- jni_
environment - The JNIENVPTR cell, pointing at the JNI environment, which points at the function table.
- operand_
type - The Java type of an INVOKE argument: an item, a one-character reference modification, LENGTH OF, or one of the literals IBM lists.
- self_
reference - SELF in method
running, given its local reference the first time the method reads it.
Type Aliases§
- Class
Code - A COBOL class, compiled.
- Method
Code - Part
- FACTORY or OBJECT WORKING-STORAGE, laid out as a program’s, and where each record starts in it.
