Crate ic_testkit

Crate ic_testkit

Source
Expand description

Focused PocketIC test-harness utilities for Internet Computer canisters.

ic-testkit keeps PocketIC itself visible: pocket_ic re-exports the complete upstream crate, while pic retains convenient runtime type re-exports and adds extension traits for typed Candid calls, generic installation, diagnostics, snapshots, startup errors, caller-owned managed-server startup, and a small time conversion. It does not provide a simulator wrapper or a host-wide runtime lock.

The crate also provides:

  • host-only transactional artifacts, Wasm builds, and freshness helpers in artifacts;
  • marker parsing, aggregation, comparison, and reports in benchmark;
  • canister-side marker emission in performance;
  • deterministic test principals through Fake.

The pocket_ic, pic, and artifacts exports are unavailable when compiling for wasm32; benchmark data types and marker emission remain available to canister code.

Re-exports§

pub use pocket_ic;

Modules§

artifacts
Host-side artifact discovery, freshness, and Wasm build helpers.
benchmark
Parse, pair, aggregate, compare, and report compact benchmark markers.
performance
Canister-side benchmark marker emission using IC execution counters.
pic
Direct PocketIC types plus value-adding host-test harness extensions.

Structs§

Fake
Deterministic principal generator for tests.
