Raw native process observations imported from IC Profiler 70907ff.
Consumers own workload selection, cadence, PID-identity admission, aggregation and interpretation of unavailable counters. These observations are not atomic.
Modules§
- procfs
- Linux procfs observations. Callers select a mount and own read budgets.
Structs§
- Child
Processes - Native child-list evidence. It does not select or adopt workload descendants.
- Process
Observation - One observed process; this is not proof of ownership or a live process handle.
Functions§
- affinity_
cpus - Observe the Linux scheduler-affinity CPU count for a PID. Returns None on another host or native query failure; fallback policy is caller-owned.
- basic_
process - Observe base CPU/RSS/identity facts without Linux I/O or PSS reads.
- children
- Observe native child IDs without changing process ownership. Darwin’s capacity is caller-selected; Linux inspects every task’s children file.
- monotonic_
ns - Host monotonic nanoseconds, falling back to a process-local Instant epoch.
- process
- Observe a process, including Linux I/O and explicitly requested PSS.
- process_
identity - Read the native opaque creation identity, or None if unavailable.
- thread_
cpu_ ns - CPU nanoseconds of the current thread; zero when the native clock is unavailable.
- tid
- Current native thread identity; zero on unsupported hosts or query failure.
