META_PREFIX
SCHEMA_VERSION: The one value a table schema document may declare under "schemaVersion".
UNPARTITIONED: The single partition of a table that declares no partitionBy — the empty name every unpartitioned slot, tally and log carries, so both layouts share one code path.

parse_schema: Parses and normalizes a table schema document (the contents of <table>.schema.json).
partition_of: The partition record belongs to: UNPARTITIONED for a table with no partitionBy, and the value of the named field otherwise.

schema_document: A schema as the standalone document schema::parse_schema reads back and createTable takes — the same shape, key order and omissions as the TS serializeSchema/describeTable pair. Fields come out in BTreeMap order, which is the alphabetical order hayson.json holds them in.
validate_record
