Read the notes tree entries from the notes ref.

notes_ref is looked up in the repository’s ref store; when no such ref exists it is resolved as a revision instead (so a notes commit or tree id works too). The target may be a notes commit or a bare tree.

Errors

• Error::NotesRefNotCommit when the target is neither a commit nor a tree.
• Error::NotesObjectKind when a subtree entry is not a tree.
• Ref store and object read failures.

Returns an empty vec when neither a ref nor a revision named notes_ref exists.
