In-memory Cache backends: MemoryCache (everything in maps, for
tests and short-lived embedders) and NoCache (stores nothing).
MemoryCache’s catalog search is a plain case-insensitive substring
match on words, not the FTS ranking of the SQLite backend; “near” uses
known coordinates or a sighting within 1 km of the query point.
