Direct vendor-wire conversions and the identity rules they share.
A conversion only reads declared source fields and builds declared target
fields. Unknown rest members are neither conversion input nor output.
Conversion state and diagnostics are separate from vendor wire payloads.
Modules§
- compact
- Codex client remote compaction through ordinary typed generation requests. Returns the native client output array, not the distinct public compaction resource envelope and not invented encrypted compaction content.
- count_
tokens - Token-count request/response mappings. Counts always describe the selected target model’s tokenizer; conversion cannot estimate a different tokenizer.
- embeddings
- Typed OpenAI/Gemini embedding conversions.
- files
- File metadata mapping and transfer boundaries.
- generate
- Direct content-generation pairs. Each module owns its vendor-specific wire mappings rather than normalizing content through an intermediate dialect.
- identity
- Flow-local, typed identities used by pairwise protocol transforms.
- images
- Create/Edit Images to a Responses image-generation tool or Gemini.
- memory
- Typed memory-summary tasks. Trace items are formal arbitrary JSON data.
- models
- Typed model resource conversions.
- video
- Conditional native Sora / OpenRouter video ↔ Gemini Developer API Veo mappings.
- web_
search - Codex search/browser commands over provider-hosted search and page tools. Commands and caller-supplied context travel together so URL and reference based followups can be interpreted by the model. Native encrypted browser state is not portable; unavailable commands are omitted, not fabricated.
Structs§
- Converted
- A typed target value and out-of-band field diagnostics. This wrapper never changes or normalizes the payload type into a common content model.
- Diagnostic
- Report
- Owned diagnostics for one conversion, never serialized into vendor
rest. - Transform
Error - A conversion failure with an explicit field/operation context and cause.
- Upstream
Error - A recognized upstream failure, retaining its declared vendor error payload. Hosts can render a client error event without parsing a diagnostic string.
Enums§
- Diagnostic
Kind - A declared field whose representation changes or cannot be retained.
- Transform
Error Kind - Why a request, result, or required host operation could not be converted.
