Expand description

For tracking and counting errors detected during a load test.

When a load test completes, by default it will include a summary of all errors that were detected during the load test. Multiple errors that share the same request method, the same request name, and the same error text are contained within a single GooseErrorMetric object, with occurrences indicating how many times this error was seen.

Individual GooseErrorMetrics are stored within a GooseErrorMetrics BTreeMap with a string key of error.method.name. The BTreeMap is found in the errors field of what is returned by GooseAttack::execute() when a load test finishes.

Can be disabled with the --no-error-summary run-time option, or with GooseDefault::NoErrorSummary.

Example

In this example, requests to load the front page are failing:

GooseErrorMetric {
    method: Get,
    name: "(Anon) front page",
    error: "503 Service Unavailable: /",
    occurrences: 4588,
}

Fields

method: GooseMethod

The method that resulted in an error.

name: String

The optional name of the request.

error: String

The error string.

occurrences: usize

A counter reflecting how many times this error occurred.
