Struct gix_pack::data::input::EntriesToBytesIter
source · pub struct EntriesToBytesIter<I: Iterator, W> {
pub input: Peekable<I>,
/* private fields */
}
streaming-input
only.Expand description
An implementation of Iterator
to write encoded entries to an inner implementation each time
next()
is called.
It is able to deal with an unknown amount of objects as it will rewrite the pack header once the entries iterator is depleted and compute the hash in one go by re-reading the whole file.
Fields§
§input: Peekable<I>
An iterator for input input::Entry
instances
Implementations§
source§impl<I, W> EntriesToBytesIter<I, W>where
I: Iterator<Item = Result<Entry, Error>>,
W: Read + Write + Seek,
impl<I, W> EntriesToBytesIter<I, W>where I: Iterator<Item = Result<Entry, Error>>, W: Read + Write + Seek,
sourcepub fn new(input: I, output: W, version: Version, object_hash: Kind) -> Self
pub fn new(input: I, output: W, version: Version, object_hash: Kind) -> Self
Create a new instance reading entries from an input
iterator and write pack data bytes to
output
writer, resembling a pack of version
. The amount of entries will be dynamically determined and
the pack is completed once the last entry was written.
object_hash
is the kind of hash to use for the pack checksum and maybe other places, depending on the version.
Panics
Not all combinations of object_hash
and version
are supported currently triggering assertion errors.
Trait Implementations§
source§impl<I, W> Iterator for EntriesToBytesIter<I, W>where
I: Iterator<Item = Result<Entry, Error>>,
W: Read + Write + Seek,
impl<I, W> Iterator for EntriesToBytesIter<I, W>where I: Iterator<Item = Result<Entry, Error>>, W: Read + Write + Seek,
§type Item = Result<Entry, Error>
type Item = Result<Entry, Error>
The amount of bytes written to out
if Ok
or the error E
received from the input.
