The process table: scan, cache, derive, sort, filter.
The central design point is the index indirection: sorting and filtering move
only Vec<usize>, never the Row storage. See docs/DESIGN.md §6.
Structs§
- Cache
- Data that never changes for a live process, keyed by
(pid, starttime). - Filter
- Case-insensitive fixed-string filter,
|-separated, matching htop’s F4. - Proc
Table - State of the table across ticks.
- Sort
- A sort specification.
- Stable
- The cached identity of one process.
- View
- The derived, displayable view over the row storage.
- Visibility
- The complete visibility predicate: command filter, owner, kernel threads.
Enums§
- Dir
- Sort direction.
Functions§
- apply_
filter - Apply the current filter to produce the display order.
- derive_
cpu - Recompute per-process CPU% and MEM% from two samples.
- find_
next - Case-insensitive incremental search (F3). Unlike the filter, this only selects the next match.
- sort_
order - Sort
orderin place usingfield, without touchingrows.
