Crate frust_shell_desktop

Crate frust_shell_desktop

Source
Expand description

Desktop preview shell and shared desktop core: the primary dev-loop platform embedding, and the cross-platform half every per-OS desktop shell crate builds on.

Wraps winit 0.30’s ApplicationHandler event loop around the Frust render stack (frust-render + frust-engine), so a cargo run opens the app in a native window with a sub-second rebuild loop and no mobile toolchain. The facade crate (frust) drives this via run_desktop (zero-config) or run_desktop_with (with the app’s DesktopConfig identity and a per-OS DesktopExtensions set — see the extensions module for the hook contract).

Modules§

config
Desktop app identity: the platform-independent configuration the shared winit core threads into window creation and carries for the per-OS shell crates.
extensions
The per-OS extension seam: the hooks a native desktop shell crate (frust-shell-macos/-windows/-linux) plugs into this shared winit core.

Functions§

run_desktop
Run build over state in a desktop preview window until it is closed.
run_desktop_with
run_desktop with the app’s desktop identity (DesktopConfig) and a per-OS extension set (DesktopExtensions) supplied.
