Expand description
WinUI XAML compatibility of FerroUI: an opt-in importer that migrates WinUI XAML to FerroUI’s XAML, the loading entry points that run it before the run-time loader, and the x:Bind property-path adapter that the migrated documents use (docs/porting/winui-controls.md and the plan of #286, W9).
Nothing here changes the default loader or the ordinary bindings: an application opts in by
calling migrate_winui_xaml (to feed a build-time compiler) or load_winui,
parse_winui and parse_winui_as (run time), and by calling register_types so that
markup can name the x:Bind types (namespace FerroUI.Markup.Xaml.WinUI, reached through the
using: prefix the importer writes).
Structs§
- WinUI
Bind Extension - Markup syntax for the supported property-path subset of WinUI x:Bind.
- WinUI
Binding - An immutable WinUI binding description captured for one root or template instance. Its actual source is selected only when the owning group is initialized.
- WinUI
Binding Diagnostic - A binding failure with the original WinUI document location, when migration supplied it.
- WinUI
Binding Errors - All failures observed during one explicit initialization or update.
- WinUI
Bindings - The generated
Bindingsobject’s role for one document or typed template instance. - WinUI
Xaml Diagnostic - WinUI
Xaml Edit - A nonoverlapping replacement of an original source range.
- WinUI
Xaml Member Mapping - An exact member rename for an explicitly named source type. This does not convert values or assert inherited-member/behavioral compatibility. A caller audits those separately.
- WinUI
Xaml Migration - WinUI
Xaml Migration Error - WinUI
Xaml Namespace Mapping - Maps one XML namespace URI, including an application
using:namespace. - WinUI
Xaml Options - Per-document compatibility policy; never stored globally. Custom mappings take precedence over built-in aliases. Duplicate/conflicting mappings are rejected before any edits.
- WinUI
Xaml Source Span - WinUI
Xaml Type Mapping - A specific type alias. A type’s registered framework identity remains unchanged.
Enums§
- WinUI
Binding Scope - The source scope captured by the explicit WinUI migration pass.
- WinUI
Theme Resource Policy - How WinUI theme lookups are adapted. The default requires an explicit decision.
- WinUIX
Bind Policy - x:Bind is a different source and lifecycle contract from an ordinary Binding.
- WinUI
Xaml Diagnostic Severity
Constants§
- WINUI_
PRESENTATION_ NAMESPACE - The presentation namespace used by WinUI documents.
Statics§
- ASSEMBLY
- The markup assembly of the crate.
Functions§
- load_
winui - Loads an explicitly opted-in WinUI document after the shared migration pass. Unresolved
semantics fail with their original-source diagnostic codes and locations. The normal compiler
then checks real registered types and members; migration never hides a loader error.
Referenced asset documents must be migrated separately by their owning project. Use
migrate_winui_xamldirectly to inspect adaptation evidence or to feed the exact same document into the build-time compiler. - migrate_
winui_ xaml - Migrates an explicit WinUI document without changing the normal XAML loader.
- parse_
winui - The WinUI counterpart of
FerroRuntimeXamlLoader::parse; the ordinaryparsekeeps its dialect. - parse_
winui_ as - The WinUI counterpart of
FerroRuntimeXamlLoader::parse_as, with the same checked handle conversion. - register_
types - Registers the x:Bind types for markup, after the XAML runtime library they build on.
