Persist the content tier’s sparse records as a separately invalidated sidecar, under the identity the tier holds.
The tier’s own identity decides everything a request could have said: an index with no prepared tier writes nothing, and a prepared tier names an enabled analyzer set. A request argument could only disagree with it, and a sidecar labelled with the tier’s set after a caller asked for another is worse than no argument at all.
