Registry fetch fan-out: concurrent version fetching and per-package classification.
Pure classification helpers extracted from deps-lsp’s document/fetch.rs: resolving each
dependency occurrence to a fetchable source, fetching and classifying a single package’s
latest/yanked/deprecated/license status, and fanning that out concurrently across a
manifest’s dependencies. The orchestration around these decisions — marking a document
loading, opening an LSP progress notification, and reacting to a mid-flight document edit —
stays in deps-lsp’s fetch_registry_versions_for_change, since it owns state this crate
must not know about (issue #1059).
Structs§
- Failure
Summary - Toast-ready summary of a fetch batch’s failures: how many packages did not resolve and the first actionable failure message, in fetch-completion order.
- Fetch
Preparation - Inputs
fetch_latest_versions_parallelneeds, derived from a parsed manifest. - Fetch
Result - Result of parallel version fetching.
Functions§
- apply_
fetch_ outcomes - Re-keys a completed fetch’s yanked/fetch-failure findings from raw to normalized package
names and applies them to
outcomes. - dedup_
dependencies_ by_ source - Pairs each distinct dependency name in
parse_resultwith the source its occurrence(s) resolve to. - fetch_
latest_ versions_ parallel - Fetches latest versions for multiple packages in parallel with progress reporting.
- prepare_
fetch - Builds a
FetchPreparationfrom a parsed manifest and its resolved lock-file state.
Type Aliases§
- DepSources
- A dependency name paired with the resolved source to route its registry fetch through
(spec FR-001), as built by
dedup_dependencies_by_source.
