Re-read the toolkit’s appearance into the reactive dark_mode signal. Backends call
this when the system appearance changes under a running app (macOS theme switch, GTK
style-manager change), and set_appearance calls it after applying an override, so
closures reading dark_mode() recolor live instead of going stale until a rebuild.
