The chart view: its spec and panel, preparing the data off the UI thread, and exporting the chart as SVG, PNG or PDF.
Modules§
- chart_
data - Prepare chart data from a LazyFrame: read the chart’s columns, then make points,
bins or statistics. Every chart reads through
read_columns: up to a row limit, spread across the table by the analysis sampler (not its first rows), returningRowsReadso the chart can say when it shows a sample. - chart_
export - Chart export: the chart is drawn once as SVG, in the bundled font (IBM Plex Sans,
under the SIL Open Font License, in
assets/fonts), then written as SVG with its text as outlines, rasterized to PNG, or written as PDF from the same outlines (chart_pdf). The same figure comes out the same on every machine; text the bundled font lacks falls back to a system font. - chart_
export_ modal - Chart export dialog: where, in what format, style and size, with what legend,
and the words around the chart. Its keys are the shared form keys
(
crate::app::form). - chart_
modal - Chart view state: the chart’s spec and the panel that edits it.
- chart_
plot - What a chart plots. A worker prepares the data (
PlotData), which the chart cache keeps;plotgives it its axes for the view, titled and numbered as the table prints the columns, and the screen and every export draw thatPlot.
