pub fn data_format(path: &Path) -> Option<FileFormat>Expand description
The format a file’s name says it holds, compression suffix walked past.
The question every listing actually asks. Named extensions are not formats: .ipc,
.arrow, .arrows and .feather are one format under four names, and a directory holding two
of them is one kind of thing. Asking crate::FileFormat rather than a list of its
own is what keeps the home screen from offering a file the reader has no route for,
which is how .txt came to be listed and refused and .psv readable and invisible.
