Enum floating_bar::ParseRatioErr[][src]

#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ParseRatioErr {
    Empty,
    Invalid,
    Overflow,
    Int(ParseIntError),
}

An error which can be returned when parsing a rational number.

Potential causes

Among other causes, ParseRatioErr can be thrown because of leading or trailing whitespace in the string e.g. when it is obtained from the standard input. Using the str.trim() method ensures that no whitespace remains before parsing.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Empty

Value being parsed is empty.

Invalid

Contains an invalid digit in its context.

Overflow

Rational is too large to store in fraction field.

Error when parsing underlying integer.
