pub struct PublicKey(/* private fields */);
Expand description

A Diffie-Hellman public key

We implement Zeroize so that downstream consumers may derive it for Drop should they wish to erase public keys from memory. Note that this erasure (in this crate) does not automatically happen, but either must be derived for Drop or explicitly called.

Implementations§

source§

impl PublicKey

source

pub fn to_bytes(&self) -> [u8; 32]

Convert this public key to a byte array.

source

pub fn as_bytes(&self) -> &[u8; 32]

View this public key as a byte array.

Trait Implementations§

source§

impl AsRef<[u8]> for PublicKey

source§

fn as_ref(&self) -> &[u8]

View this public key as a byte array.

fn clone(&self) -> PublicKey

Returns a copy of the value. Read more

source§

impl<'a> From<&'a EphemeralSecret> for PublicKey

source§

fn from(secret: &'a EphemeralSecret) -> PublicKey

Given an x25519 EphemeralSecret key, compute its corresponding PublicKey.

source§

impl<'a> From<&'a StaticSecret> for PublicKey

source§

fn from(secret: &'a StaticSecret) -> PublicKey

Given an x25519 StaticSecret key, compute its corresponding PublicKey.

source§

impl From<[u8; 32]> for PublicKey

source§

fn from(bytes: [u8; 32]) -> PublicKey

Given a byte array, construct a x25519 PublicKey.

source§

impl Hash for PublicKey

source§

fn hash<__H>(&self, state: &mut __H)where __H: Hasher,

Feeds this value into the given Hasher. Read more
1.3.0 · source§

fn hash_slice<H>(data: &[Self], state: &mut H)where H: Hasher, Self: Sized,

Feeds a slice of this type into the given Hasher. Read more
source§

impl PartialEq for PublicKey

source§

fn eq(&self, other: &PublicKey) -> bool

This method tests for self and other values to be equal, and is used by ==.
1.0.0 · source§

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

This method tests for !=. The default implementation is almost always sufficient, and should not be overridden without very good reason.
