Errors that could occur when decoding a Base58 encoded string.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

BufferTooSmall

The output buffer was too small to contain the entire input.

§

InvalidCharacter

Fields

§character: char

The unexpected character.

§index: usize

The (byte) index in the input string the character was at.

The input contained a character that was not part of the current Base58 alphabet.

§

NonAsciiCharacter

Fields

§index: usize

The (byte) index in the input string the start of the character was at.

The input contained a multi-byte (or non-utf8) character which is unsupported by this Base58 decoder.

InvalidChecksum

Fields

§checksum: [u8; 4]

The given checksum

§expected_checksum: [u8; 4]

The checksum calculated for the payload

Available on crate features check or cb58 only.

The checksum did not match the payload bytes

InvalidVersion

The given version

§expected_ver: u8

The expected version

Available on crate features check or cb58 only.

The version did not match the payload bytes

NoChecksum

Available on crate features check or cb58 only.
