symbols, normalised as $G^{c}(f) B$, at the frequencies f in units of $B$ (Chiani

Eq. (20) sums over the $M$ symbols: each frequency costs $M + 2$ Fresnel evaluations (two of the four arguments of eq. (25) are shared by every symbol), $O(M)$.
