Expand description

A top-level table schema edit addressed by its current field name.

Variants§

§

AddField

Append a nullable top-level value field.

Fields

§name: String
§logical_type: LogicalType
§

RenameField

Rename a top-level field while retaining its stable field id.

Fields

§field_name: String
§new_name: String
§

DropField

Drop a non-key top-level field.

Fields

§field_name: String
§

AlterFieldType

Losslessly widen one existing non-key field’s logical type.

The catalog derives and persists the built-in transform from the field’s actual current type and this target type.

Fields

§field_name: String
§logical_type: LogicalType
§

TransformField

Transform one existing non-key field, optionally changing its logical type.

The field name is resolved when this change is applied. Catalog storage retains the resulting stable field id with the opaque transform spec.

Fields

§field_name: String
§logical_type: LogicalType
§transform: TransformSpec
