Color (type 63) and Color Temperature (type 64) objects, added by Addendum 135-2020ca (Clauses 12.X and 12.Y, Tables 12-X and 12-Y).

A Color object holds a CIE 1931 xy colour, a Color Temperature object a correlated colour temperature in kelvin. Both take a typed BACnetColorCommand as Color_Command, checked against the operations each allows (see command), and carry it out (#1474): fades and ramps move Tracking_Value to the new Present_Value over time, with In_Progress showing which, steps change the value at once, and STOP ends a fade or ramp where it stands (see engine). A Present_Value write moves the output as the object’s Transition says.

At the device’s start the server drives each output that nothing has driven yet to its default, Default_Color or Default_Color_Temperature, at once; a zero default keeps the value the object came back with from its storage (see persistence), and with nothing stored the output stays undriven. Until it is driven, In_Progress reads NOT_CONTROLLED (#1526).

Neither object has a priority array, and their property tables have no Status_Flags, Event_State, Reliability or Out_Of_Service, so the objects serve none of them. Value_Source, once tracked, names the last writer of Present_Value (#1552).

Structs§

ColorObject
BACnet Color object (type 63).
ColorOutputSaveCounters
Lifetime totals of one colour object’s Present_Value saves, shared with the object: take it with output_save_counters (on ColorObject or ColorTemperatureObject) before the object joins a database, and read it at any time after. A failed save refuses nothing, so this is where one shows besides the log: until a retry lands, storage holds an older value than the object serves.
ColorOutputSnapshot
What a Color or Color Temperature object keeps across a restart.
ColorTemperatureObject
BACnet Color Temperature object (type 64).
FileColorOutputPersistence
A file holding one colour object’s Present_Value, replaced whole on each save the same way as FileNotificationClassPersistence: a failed save leaves the previous value in place, and a completed one survives a power loss.

Enums§

ColorOutputValue
A colour output’s Present_Value, as storage keeps it.

Traits§

ColorOutputPersistence
Application-owned storage for one colour object’s Present_Value.
