pub const MAX_SETTLING_SECONDS: u32 = 30;Expand description
Longest a stage replays to settle before a seek target, in seconds.
A recursive effect’s settling horizon grows without bound as it nears infinite memory (a reverb’s damping near one, a compressor’s release of seconds), and a stage settles after everything downstream of it. Each stage’s lead is capped here, so a seek replays at most this much audio and asks the host for at most this much source history plus the graph’s lookahead. A stage whose horizon is longer starts this far back and approximates its settled state, as every finite warm-up does.
