The rule engine: rule trait, IDs, severity, violations, and the registry that dispatches to the concrete rule modules.

Modules

consistency

Cross-file consistency rules. Range: AIL300 – AIL399.

registry

Central registry of all built-in rules.

security

Security rules: prompt-injection surface, dangerous permissions, secrets. Range: AIL200 – AIL299.

semantic

Semantic rules: instruction quality, clarity, redundancy. Range: AIL100 – AIL199.

structural

Structural rules: schema / frontmatter / required-section validation. Range: AIL001 – AIL099.

RuleContext

Per-invocation context passed to a rule’s run method.

RuleId

Numeric-code + slug identifier for a rule (e.g. AIL001 / no-frontmatter-schema-error). Every rule owns exactly one RuleId.

TextEdit

A single deterministic edit to a document’s raw text.

Violation

A concrete finding produced by a rule.
