Starts a child in an owned operating-system process tree.
Descendants inherit the Windows Job or Unix process group. Dropping the returned guard, or explicitly terminating it, kills that containment. Unix descendants can deliberately escape by creating another group or session, so independently durable services require their own lifecycle ownership.
