Validate and additionally prove buf is exactly the canonical encoding of
its own content.
This is the unconditional form of DecodeOpts { verify_canonical: true }:
an image that is canonical in structure but lacks the canonical flag fails
with infinity/not-canonical, because the canonical encoding of its content
carries the flag. The check re-encodes once, inside validation.
