Struct sierra::Fence

pub struct Fence { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Handle to GPU fence object.

Fence is object used for coarse grained GPU-CPU synchronization. It should be used to wait for GPU operations to finish before mutating or destroying resources on CPU.

This includes overwriting mappable buffer content and updating descriptor sets. (Mappable images can be added in future).

Prefer using semaphores and pipeline barriers to synchronize operations on GPU with each other.
