Important Note: This crate is still a work in progress and is not ready for consumption.
RC4 is a stream cipher designed by Ronald Rivest in 1987. Despite its age, it continues to see usage in certain areas, such as:
- Wireless Security: Used in WEP and WPA, which are security protocols for wireless networks.
- Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS): Used for protecting web traffic.
This crate implements RC4 as part of the RustyShield project.
