LAS file header structure (subset of fields).

Fields§

§file_signature: String

File signature (should be “LASF”).

§file_source_id: u16

File source ID.

§version_major: u8

Version major.

§version_minor: u8

Version minor.

§point_format: u8

Point data record format.

§point_record_length: u16

Point data record length.

§num_points: u64

Number of point records.

§scale: [f64; 3]

Scale factors [sx, sy, sz].

§offset: [f64; 3]

Offset [ox, oy, oz].

§min_bounds: [f64; 3]

Min bounds [min_x, min_y, min_z].

§max_bounds: [f64; 3]

Max bounds [max_x, max_y, max_z].

Implementations§

Source§

impl LasHeader

Source

pub fn mock(num_points: u64) -> Self

Create a mock LAS header for testing.

Source

pub fn from_bytes(data: &[u8]) -> Option<Self>

Parse a LAS header from raw bytes (minimal parsing).

Source

pub fn bounding_volume(&self) -> f64

Bounding box volume.
