Binary difference between two checkpoints.

Stores edit operations as a sequence of byte-level patches that transform base into target. Apply with CheckpointDiff::apply.

§base_step: u64

Step number of the base checkpoint.

§target_step: u64

Step number of the target checkpoint.

§edits: Vec<(usize, u8, u8)>

Sequence of (offset, old_byte, new_byte) edits.

The diff records every position where base and target differ.
