[][src]Module inc::primitives

Scheme primitives implemented within the compiler.

Scheme primitives naively understood by the compiler like car and cdr are implemented in this module.

Preferably a function should be defined in the scheme stdlib, if not possible it should be written as a foreign function in Rust or C. Implementing primitives in assembly within the compiler itself should be used only as a last resort when the other options are significantly harder.

Now this is not the stance the paper takes, but a compiler that is 100s of tiny functions that emit assembly as string is going to be a nightmare to work with.
