Struct region::Protection []

pub struct Protection { /* fields omitted */ }

Memory page protection constants.

Determines the access rights for a specific page and/or region. Some combination of flags may not work depending on the OS (e.g macOS enforces pages to be readable).

Examples

use region::Protection;

let combine = Protection::Read | Protection::Write;
let shorthand = Protection::ReadWrite;

Methods

impl Protection

None: Protection = Protection{bits: 0,}

No access allowed at all.

Read: Protection = Protection{bits: 1 << 1,}

Read access; writing and/or executing data will panic.

Write: Protection = Protection{bits: 1 << 2,}

Write access; this flag alone may not be supported on all OSs.

Execute: Protection = Protection{bits: 1 << 3,}

Execute access; this may not be allowed depending on DEP.

ReadExecute: Protection = Protection{bits: <Self>::Read.bits | <Self>::Execute.bits,}

Read and execute shorthand.

ReadWrite: Protection = Protection{bits: <Self>::Read.bits | <Self>::Write.bits,}

Read and write shorthand.

ReadWriteExecute: Protection = Protection{bits:
               <Self>::Read.bits | <Self>::Write.bits | <Self>::Execute.bits,}

Read, write and execute shorthand.

WriteExecute: Protection = Protection{bits: <Self>::Write.bits | <Self>::Execute.bits,}

Write and execute shorthand.

Returns an empty set of flags.

Returns the set containing all flags.

Returns the raw value of the flags currently stored.

Convert from underlying bit representation, unless that representation contains bits that do not correspond to a flag.

Convert from underlying bit representation, dropping any bits that do not correspond to flags.

Returns true if no flags are currently stored.

Returns true if all flags are currently set.

Returns true if there are flags common to both self and other.

Returns true all of the flags in other are contained within self.

Inserts the specified flags in-place.

Removes the specified flags in-place.

Toggles the specified flags in-place.

Inserts or removes the specified flags depending on the passed value.
