Module containing functions necessary for converting from and into betacode.

Functions

  • convert
    Applies the conversion pipeline.
  • find_upper
    Locates upper case characters marked by “*” and replaces them with the proper ASCII uppercase character.
  • reorder_diacritics
    Reorder diacritics to the rule: BREATH/DIAIRESIS + ACCENT + SUB-IOTA
  • revert
    Applies the reversion pipeline.
  • sigma_handler
    Handles the specific rules for final sigmas.
  • special_sigma
    Finds and replaces forced medial sigmas and lunate sigmas.
